Replace iTunes

My daughter just got her first IPod Nano 8GB. I think it's a 4th Generation (looks like this one and was bought last week http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...G_20080911.JPG)

I downloaded and installed iTunes but we could not figger out how to add more than four songs at once. We could add one, two, three and four selected songs at any one time but any more and iTunes didn't open the songs into the selected library.

I then downloaded Media Monkey eval and this worked a treat. Altho it still had problems. I would sync the IPod and while that was going on, I would send more music to it- but anything sync'd to the IPod while the IPod was already sync'ing would not be transfered.

So, my question is, is it possible to just copy MP3s to the IPod then have them play?

I did this with the wife's Shuffle- used iShuffle to re-create the playlist. Thanks.

winamp may work but im not sure if its compatible with the new nano g4

Try a program called Media monkey its a great substitution if you don't like itunes

I don't get it. Use iTunes. It is the best for people new to iPods.
I also don't understand why you could only sync 4 songs at ones.

just make sure all your songs are in itunes and then check the sync all songs and videos buttin when your ipod shows up
then it should sync all your music
