The 60GB uses the Emotion Engine (actual hardware) for PS1 and PS2 backwards compatibility which will allow you to play about 97% of all PS1 and PS2 games. The 80GB uses software emulation and only allows you to play about 80% of all PS1 and PS2 games. In other words, you'll be able to play more PS1 and PS2 games on the 60GB than on the 80GB. The 40GB has NO BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY AT ALL therefore you can't play PS1 and PS2 games. | Well first of all, are you buying a fake or real one? Anyways, if it's real, it's probably going to end up costing much more. You have to check if it's PAL or NTSC. It won't change anything for blu-ray games because they're region free. If it's NTSC, it will read US DVDs and blu-ray movies. If it's PAL, it won't. |
