Hi guys, the new fashion in docks are the reflected icons. This tutorial will guide you how to do it. I know it's kind of the same process as making a reflection but I'm sure it will help you :p 1. Open your .png icon in Photoshop. 2. Open the template in Photoshop. 3. Copy your icon onto the template. I usually accomplish this by copy/paste or by dragging the layer onto the template. 4. Resize your icon's layer in the template to fit inside the guides. The guides form a square at the upper portion of the work area. 5. Duplicate your icon's layer by pressing ctrl + j. 6. With the duplicate layer active, go to Edit/Transform/Flip Vertical. 7. Drag the inverted layer underneath the original layer, so the flipped bottom is flush with the "normal" bottom. 8. Ctrl-click on the layer mask of "Layer 4 copy". 9. Apply the layer mask to your new inverted layer by going to Layer/Layer Mask/Reveal Selection. 10. Now, do a "save as" command and save your file as a .png. Your done ! Now just browse your new .png icon and admire it :p ! ! |
