How long have you had it? And are you sure you NEVER dropped it or anything??

Also, if its just a little fuzzy, the jack might not be installed properly.

Hi yep i replaced it myself as i could not get to the apple shop i have had it about month now never been dropped or anything.I dont think apple will take it back as i have scratched it trying to open it cracked the lcd look a right mess.

It a loud sound you can hear the music but sound like if the volume set to high or somethink sound crap :-!

dude, no offence, but that was dumb. you shouldn't have tried to fix it yourself at all, when it was in warenty. my only advice now is to go google a site for fixing ipods, and send it to them, if you've already destroyed yours that much...

Hi true but i dont think apple would of took it anyway as i have no receipt or anything for it as i lost :-! so there nothing i can do to sort this sound out then.

Ok thanks this has really p***ed me off lol as you can hear it but the buzzing sound include lol if i cannot fix it would the 80gb work in my 5.5g ipod

So you replaced the jack and you still have problems.Did you fit it correctly?.You don't have tinitus do you mate?.Don't know what else it could be.Crappy earphones. How the hell did you crack the lcd?.

I told him to slightly twist it to open the seam between the two halves.Then put in something small and flat and that should do it.I've done that loads of times.maybe my slight twist and his are completely different?.
