Sorry no thanks. I dont think it can be repaired as i think it a mainboard fault, Also i could not get the 80gb to work in the 5.5g ipod shame. Thanks everyone for your help..

did u try maybe changing the equalizer, maybe from bass to treble or from whatever it was? maybe that would've solved your problem but too bad u cracked ur screen. wouldn't the 5g screen fit in the 6g screen or are they totally different?

Hi thanks for the link. I tryed everything to get it working but had no luck i would love to get the 6g working again or get 80gb in my 5.5 but it not going to happen. What left of the 6g ipod a fully working 80gb hard drive,5g headphone/hold swich,click wheel,mainboard unknow if working as i had the sound fault that it the case is no good along with the lcd and the battery as i have got that in my 5.5g.
