IPOD missing three songs

Ok so heres the deal, ive had this problem once before and somehow fixed it, but the same problem came back with 1 less song being affected.

my Itunes library: 12996 songs
my Ipod library: 12993 songs

i have tried restoring, using mediamonkey to rebuild database and resync. nothing works.

Does anyone know what causes this? how to prevent or fix?

Please help, its not an extremely big deal but slightly frustrating and activates my OCD on random occasioins.

what would that have to do with it?...but not from itunes my library is ripped from CD's

cause if u bought them u might have to authorize them but i guess not

hmm.... is it possible that you just move or deleted them on your harddrive ? so itunes cant find em and cant sync em with the ipod ? ^^

no i highly doubt that as it just recently grew to 5 songs im missing on the ipod.

it could be very short songs, like interludes, which are inferior to a certain size and that itunes skips automatically. Check your preferences

where do i find tht in itunes prefs messer?

Select all of your music and right click then click check selection.
If that isn't the problem it won't even say "check selection"
