Ipod Linux Help

Heres my problem. I was installing linux with Loader 2 and everything was going well. Made a backup and flashing was progressing. When it was about 80% done I get a "Failed to Modify Firmware" error. I'm on a 1.3.1 nano. So after that, I tried again. However, the installer says that it already detects linux (I know this is wrong because its not showing only see Apple os and Rockbox) So I tried uninstalling linux. It asks for my backup. I give it. The installer auto-closes. I've tried this multiple times. I know from using the ipodloader.exe that a 3rd partition has indeed been made called Linux. Please help because IPL looks really cool and I WANT IT NOW!

Installer2 is garbage try one of the tutorials on this site.

I used a tutorial found here: http://www.ipodhacking.com/forum/showthread.php?t=802 and installed the one for nanos...
Podzilla was booting but I found lots of bugs. I tried connecting a usb and it asked me if I wanted to go into disk mode. I said yes and it just restarted and was never read by the computer. I wanted loader 2 on it so I could triple boot Apple Os, Rockbox, and IPL but when I tried installing it podzilla still autp-booted.
I got it into disk mode manually and used IpodWizard to restore a firmware backup and then put Loader 2. Now when I use the official installer it says that it cannot continue because a corrupt install has occured. Is there any way to delete the linux partition the installer made and try again with official installer?
EDIT
Installed via IpodLinuxManager and have a Loader 2 with a triple boot going. Only thing is that now I'm getting a Kernel panic:
UFS: Unable to mount root fs on 03:02.

Installer 2 is a pile of ass

Use the SVN version, it works much better, there's a link to it on the downloads page on iPL

Yeah I installed and its wonderful. Triple-booting. Anyone know how to get mpd working with it? I heard you need a config file but the official links to it are dead.

Also there was a fix for it especially for ZeroSlaxr but that links dead too. Help...
