Default Error 1439

Ok, so here's the basic problem. I've been given a 2G iPod Nano (the 8GB one) by a friend to add some new music to it. Yesterday I went and plugged the iPod into my computer and opend up iTunes. I started transferring some new music over for him and it seemed like it was all going good. Well anyways, the music never transferred. I tried multiple attempts and still nothing. After I while I started getting ticked off, so I went into a program called iPodCopy and copied all of the music that was already on there onto my computer. From there I went into iTunes to do a Restore. iTunes managed to download the Restore file and began the Restoration process. the green progress bar moved very slightly and then out of nowhere an error message popped up with the error code "1439". I am stumped as what to do to fix this. The iPod now does nothing. I can't restore it or even get to anything on it when it's unplugged from the computer, it just keeps say "Use iTunes to Restore". i've used google to search for that error code and have found very little help. if anybody here can help me it would be greatly appreciated as my friend would like the iPod back.

Hold the "Enter and Center button" until it shuts down, then when you se the apple, hold "Enter and Play/Pause button"

That will force the ipod into disk mode, it will allow you to restore the iPod and re-upload the song onto it.

I am not sure about the error though...
This will definitely fix it, but I don't know WHY you got that error.
If that helps please some rep

I have attempted what you mentioned and still nothing. After I did what you said to do the following showed up in iTunes.

Once I cliced on OK on that I went and began to retore the iPod and this is how far it go.

Finally here is the error that I keep getting.

If anybody knows why this would be happening or what I should do it would be greatlyappreciated.

Yeah, during my thorough search on Google I came across that article but still wasn't able to get the thing to work. I think that I'm going to try and contact Apple right now and see if they can be of some assistance. If I do manage to get it fixed I will post the steps that I took so that others with this problem will be able to fix it.

Added Information:

I just got off of the phone with Apple. They did not help me whatsoever due to the fact that the iPod is out of warranty. All they were able to do was give me a link to the Apple Support website which I checked and has nothing about my error on there. Please if anybody can help it is greatly needed and will be greatly appreciated as I have never seen this error before.

I had a similar problem. I had to downgrade to iTunes 7.7.0 to fix it. I restored my iPod with that version and it worked fine. Try this and see if it works, hopefully it will, idk tho... My problem was on a touch and not a nano, but still try it and see
