Problem with my ipod

ok, this happened earlier today when i wanted to update my phase playlist by syncing. itunes froze and it never continued syncing. my computer was also frozen so wat i did was i pressed the power button on my computer to shut it down manually. when i turned it back on, the computer was going really slow. i couldnt go into "my computer" and itunes wouldnt respond. so the second i unplugged my ipod, everything was back to normal. thats wen i figured out that something was wrong with my ipod. i went into to disk mode and restored it, but its still doing it. can some1 PLEASE help me into fixing this problem???

this has happened to me actually quite a few times. I found that i just needed to start itunes first then plug in my ipod. and if that didnt work i restarted the puter with the ipod unplugged. If that doesn't work see if you can update itunes. What version do you have?

i have the newest version. i think its 7.6.1
