i think you would need new parts that would probably cost more than the ipod if you added all the cost up

Either buy new parts or buy a new iPod. (Second option is the best)

DOS will become famous soon enough
Default Re: Water Damage

It may not be dead yet - Someone i know has accidentally washed their ipod twice (plus many phones), and its still going strong.

First - Dont try to turn it on
Also, dont try to shake any water off, youll wreck the harddrive

Open it up, there are places on the internet that tell you how to

Seperate everything that will come apart without breaking anything

Dry up any water you can see with a dry cloth

Then put all the parts in a warm dry place (airing cupboard maybe) for 3 or 4 days, to ensure the majority of the water evaporates

Put it all back together, hopefully it will work.

I noticed you said it went through the dryer too-Although this would have dried it out, the heat may have been too much for the individual components.

yeah its also to late for the don't turn it on part we left it for a week in a nice hot dry room and hopped it would dry out but either we didn't leave it long enough or it was already done for beacuse like you said i think the dryer might have totalled its components
