RockBox Boot Loader - Expert Help? Okay, so here's the deal.
I have been working on dual booting my iPod for a couple of weeks now. The reason it's taken so long is that I've modded two separate firmwares to read from two separate music directories. I have also modded a component (foo_dop) for foobar that allows me to write the iPod music/database to these two separate directories (using two separate foobar installations).
Now this is where the RockBox boot loader comes in - I want to dual boot these two firmwares.
I did try iPodLinux boot loader, but I didn't like how you have to select from a menu every boot.
I would prefer to use something like the RockBox boot loader.
Have one firmware set as the default firmware and will boot to this automatically.
The only way to boot into the other one is to flick the hold switch on while it was booting.
I have hit up the RockBox forum about this, but they didn't want to help - just closed the thread. They did say however that it was possible.
Anyone want to give me a hand trying to work this out? I wouldn't have a clue about this sort of stuff...
[If you guys would like an upload of the modded strings for the firmware I'd happily do that]
Cheers,
iChip
