Default Woah hold on something's wrong!

Ok I just turned on my iPod and I saw that it's a different background from the one I had put on and I only had 3 songs on there. Now there's like 607 songs and other stuff and it says that it's Slaton's IP under the settings.

Ummmmmmm......What the hell?

Did I do something that made my iPod become someone elses? Cause last night it was fine and I just turned it on and....hello a new iPod screen and stuff. I don't like it cause it's not my Sum 41 background and now it's like a yellow sun and it's black with a little guy running on the bottom.

Can someone help me I want my iPod back to the way I hacked it?

Yes there's always been that sort of problem on 5.5G iPods.

It's something to do with the multiple background hack firmware that the iPod Touch to iPod Video hack is based on. The 5G firmware doesn't have this problem.

The devs are looking into (including me) and we think it looks like it's 2 firmwares combined together so it forces the iPod to choose between them. If you look at the firmware, you can see links to others images and to other songs (kind of like an iTunes database in the firmware). That's how we can explain the 40mb size.

The multiple background hack was based of InvaderZim's background hack (that's were the 40mb came and were the problem originated) and then my ultimate background hack was added to it. The 5G firmware never had this problem because it wasn't made by InvaderZim (the size was 13mb like a normal firmware).

I tried removing the extra stuff from the 5.5G firmware, but it completely messed it up and the firmware didn't boot up. We're still looking into this and hopefully we'll be able to fix it.

so is there anything I can do? Cause I made my own background for the main menu and I took a theme called Red Orbit and only used the now playing one (but I messed with that a little to make it look different) so I changed those two images (138 and 282) I left everything else the same and didn't put in any resources or anything else. I mean is it worth putting my music back on or will this just keep happening? Cause I loved the background I made, but it was so wierd that when i turned my iPod on it came up like this. There's nothing for me to do then?

I would try restoring your iPod and reinstalling the iPod Touch hack firmware on it.

Then readd all your songs when your on the touch hack. Hopefully that will fix it.

Ok so let me just make sure. You want me to...

Restore my iPod first before plugging it in? (select and menu or select and play? on the iPod)
Then open iPod Wizard and reput in the iTouch hack and change those two images. (Do I have to put the resources and strings in just if I want to change just those two images?)
Then write it to my iPod, wait, click eject, wait, and click eject again
Then put all my music on my iPod?

I just want to make sure because I have over 7,000 songs and that takes a while for iTuens to put it on my iPod and I don't want this to happen and for me to waste about 2 hours for it not to work. Thanks for helpping me. I just want to make sure I'm going to do everything right.

Yes that's correct.

You don't have to load the strings or resources if you didn't edit them for your theme. However, if you changed the strings and resources, save them and load them.

Actually IZ did make the BG hack for the 5G but he never did as much as he did with his own 5.5G so think of it as a bonus....

Ok hold on a sec, I just held down the select and the menu button, and then I let it load and now it's back to my original Sum 41 background and my original now playing background. Should I still reinstall the iTouch hack? It's fine now, but I only have those 3 songs I put on there. Should I just put all the rest of my songs on my iPod or reinstall the iTouch hack? That was a little freaky...

It does that to me all the time, since I have a 5.5G. It will continue to do that every once in a while. All you have to do is restart it just like you did and it's perfectly fine.
