What's good iPh, i'm new and i'm working on a theme for the Hybrid Hack. That is to say, i'll be skinning TheIslander's theme (white menus) that came with the hack itself. I'd really like some help with the things i might not know/understand, so if anyone would like to help, please PM me. So far, the theme looks like this:

Please let me what you think as well.

The text should look like it's cut out of the white part and the wood is showing through and with a shadow and whatnot.

Ohh, i understand now. You want me to make the text transperant so it looks like the wood is showing through. Although possible, it won't look too good, as there wont be any visible detail inside the letters, thus making them look kinda brown.

Yes thank you theinvisible. My text stopped working on photoshop so I couldn't do it...well I could've with somethign else but I got sidetracked fixing photoshop.

It might be hard to see detail but it would tie the theme together better than black text would.
Or you could change the size of the wood to about 50% and make it a pattern and then use a pattern on the text.
just a thought though.
I think your music and videos icons are good, but need a little bit more refinement to make them work in that small of an area. Maybe not having flat rounded outlines, maybe something more choppy and raw looking like actual wood.

yeah make the icons look like they are made out of wood, and make the text kinda jagged with the wood showing through, almost like it was sawed out, maybe add a little woodburning design

maybe make the white look more like distressed paper, like a wanted poster from the cowboy days.
