Default Bug Reports

Here you post bugs for iPodEditor so I can resolve them and fix them in the release.

Answer these questions when reporting if you can.

What happened?

What steps did you take to cause it?

What version of Mac OS do you have?

Howdy. I'm kinda new to these forums. I signed up a while ago but haven't said anything yet.

But anyhoo, whenever I try to open resources, everything comes up but the images. I downloaded the specific .ipfw from somewhere, but it's just the default classic 5.5 theme.

I'm using Leopard on a Powerbook G4.

I'm not sure if it's a bug or maybe I'm just doing something wrong, I don't know...

Try reinstalling ImageMagick. You can just delete the one you have, start iPodEditor, iPodEditor will say that it is not installed and ask you if you want to install it. You can find where ImageMagick is installed in the preferences of iPodEditor.

I don't think that any of the background firmwares can extract or write resource with iPodEditor because of all of the gaps there is with them.

You can download some firmwares and/or resources from here http://24.214.98.43/ipodeditor/firmwares/ or http://ipodeditor.110mb.com/firmwares/

i cant extract the firmware. it says that ipodedit unexpectedly quit. it dosent say ipodeditor just ipodedit. after that pops up it says
"The file you opened is ether not a firmware
or your firmware is corrupted
You can look at the error log to find out"

Ok so are you saying that the firmware you can download from that site can be used as a backup to your ipod's firmware? Because like the guy above me I get the same error when I try to extract firmware from my ipod.
By the way my ipod is a 5.5g ipod video

I guess you could use it as a site for backup firmware.

Ok so let me get this straight.... I could put a hack like the touch hack on my ipod video, but if I wanted to switch back to the original firmware I could use the firmware I downloaded from that site. I would love to mod my ipod, but I'm not doing anything to it untill I have a backup of it's firmware or whatever you want to call it.
