Questions About Rockbox

I heard that you can put GBC roms into the ipod and play but can someone tell me how to put it in?...thank you...a tutorial would be nice xD if im not asking too much....ALso where can i get the games at?...where can i get rockboy also..thanks so much

Ok, I'll help you again!

1.) Go to your iPod's root
2.) Click .rockbox
3.) Make a new folder called Rockboy and make a folder inside that called Roms and put your roms in the roms folder.
4.) Go find some roms by searching google, Gameboy Roms and download them
5.) Boot up Rockbox on your iPod
6.) Go to file browser
7.) Go to the .rockbox folder
8.) Click on Rockboy then Roms and pick a rom and start playin!

thank you again...but whne i clicked on .rockbox after i dragged the rom in...it restarts my rockbox..have any idea?

I did all your steps but when i opened .rockbox on my ipod, it restarted rockbox

don't you need an extension??
not JUST put it on. the ... whats it called.... but you have to add something to make the .gba's work (like a rockbox app.)

Thanks Aries.Green.Monkey! Make sure all the roms have an extension on them. The exstention is .gbc

Also, I’d like to let you know that GBC ROMs are different then GBA and GB ROMs.

Same difference as their originals. Make sure you name them appropriately, and note that GBC ROMs run SLOW. GB ROMs run near perfect though.

Side note: anyone knows of a better control scheme for Rock boy? The default is really bad.

I usually have the directions on taping a direction and the A, B start select as either taping the diagonals, or pressing the directions, depending on the game.
