Ipodlinux without deleting files?

Hey guys...

I'm new to the forum...

I was looking at post for the past weeks and i haven't found a safe way to install the ipodlinux into iPod Video 5.5G 80GB...

Exists? o does have still problems with the software or applications...

if it does, can anyone tell me where's the tutorial..

I read the post and download everything there is, and this type of instalation dosent delete nothing in my iPod? just to be sure before a do it....i wanna lose nothing of my music....

And I have install in my iPod Rockbox and the loader 2.5, the one that appears in the screen selecting wich firmware to iniciate....

Can i do it anyway having this?

You will only lose stuff if you have to restore.

If you are really that scared, then don't do it.

However, i suggest if you have your itunes backed up, give it a go.

Liniux is fun, rockbox however is a safe alternative.

Restore? do you mean if things go wrong, right? or i want to had the ipod just like at first, without hacks...

I'm not scared to do it, at first, the linux always has the need to have different partition, but when i was reading it wasn't necessary i want it to try i put the linux on it....

Install linux using ZeroSlackr: http://ipodlinux.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=29636
It won't delete your files and al the files will be on the same partition.
