i used to have linux on my ipod but now when i run the .exe it gives me this error:

i dont remember ipodlinux deleting all my songs but it says it will. is that true?

It does because it needs to reformat your iPod to make a Linux partition and reformat the FAT32 partition.

it does with the regular installer... i once used one that didn't... and i believe it used the same windows partition :p

it doesn't u just need to install a bootloader and add a folder with rockbox in the windows partition... i like this about rockbox it's really simple :p

Your better off doing the manual install if you are going to use ipodlinux it is very easy and i did not wipe my music like it said it would. I have done it a few times to my ipod works get doing it manual.

lf you do not want to do any formating there is are easy installs that puts it on the root of your iPod HD just like Rockbox. just a quick easy install as Rockbox.(iPodLinuxManager, EZiPL, or iPLGottaPhase)

Rockbox rules. Much easier then ipodlinux and far better to mod quickly.
