Default iPhone w/o ATT phone

I am interested in getting an iPhone to use it as an iPod Touch, with the benefit of the built in Camera, hard buttons for volume, mic, and blutooth capability. What is the best way to by pass the ATT registration to use the iPhone as an iPod Touch (no phone service, just wi-fi connectivity)?

Yes, of course iPhones have WiFi.
I believe that there is a way that you can jailbreak and bypass the AT&T activation. Let me dig it up for you.

Hm, cool Idea.

I think this was one of the first hacks for the iPhone...

The iPhone DOES have WiFi.

My advice is to wait, until the next set of iPods / iPhones comes along.
