Default Apple Event for iPhone SDK.

Steve Jobs had originally announced that the iPhone and iPod Touch Software Development Kit (SDK) would be released in February 2008. Last week rumors pointed to a brief delay in the launch of the SDK. The SDK will allow developers to release their own software applications for both the iPod Touch and iPhone.

Few details have been made available, but the SDK has been reportedly already been seeded to select developers in the months ahead of its release. The event will take places at 10am Pacific time at Apple's Cupertino campus.
About time we heard something more about it. I'm ready.

Well no the jailbreak wont become useless, unless apple intends to let ppl use emulators and such off their SDK.....

Don't expect this to be free...I'd be very (pleasantly) surprised if it were.

do you think they will make you pay for individual apps or just charge for the ability to use home made apps? and will you have to download them through apple?, Because if you dont have to get them through apple then i see no reason why there couldnt be all the apps from jailbreak on a non jailbroken touch or iphone

All up in the air still, but here is my assumption:
Apple will put a set price on all applications, much like the current assortment of iPod Games.
All applications will need to be downloaded and installed via iTunes, again much like the current iPod Games.

I still have no clue how they will treat all developers, but my wish is that they will accomidate all developers, big or small, and allow them to charge what they want (if anything) for their applications.

well if it all has to be done with itunes then they will charge you a shitload. I hope they add a way to install apps with the wifi store though.

do you think you would be able to load apps via itunes with a jailbroken touch/iphone?
