Mexico and Brazil will get an iTunes Store at the launch of the iPhone for both countries and Central America. The iTunes Store is vital for the iPhone since most of the setup and activation, if not all of it, is done within iTunes with an iTunes Account. They might also be getting support for purchasing prints and book through iPhoto.
An Apple retail store in Monterrey is also rumored to launch at the same time, which will be the only country in Latin America to have one.

Reports say that Mexico will be followed by Brazil for the iTunes Store. Maybe we can see a pattern emerging that most industrialized countries will get the iTunes Store first while the less industrialized will get them later or never at all. If it follows this pattern the "waiting list" would be in this order: Argentina, Chile, Colombia or Venezuela and Panama.
Brazil's distribution manager, Jose Roberto Souza, claims that Apple will launch an iPhone on June 11th and leaves to our imagination what will follow next.
