3G iPhone in Canada next month.

Last moth Rogers confirmed that the iPhone was going to be released in Canada. Now sources inside the company say that the 3G iPhone will be released next month alongside with the US release with reasonable data costs.

They will probably keep the $7 unlimited data plan. These are good news for our Canadian buddies out there, since rogers is known for having extremely high data costs.

I'm not entirely sure but I think by when they say 3g they mean it will be able to use 3g cell phone networks. And I'm pretty sure it will be able to be jailbroken eventually.

I'm still sad though... I have the money to get an iPhone, but I'm too much of a pennypincher to buy it...

yeah 3G is like EDGE, but quicker.

and what if they make a hardware mod which means you cant hack them? o.O

You are right 3G is like EDGE but a most updated version which goes faster and has faster data transfers (ie: internet).
