iPhone/iPod Touch 2.0.1 Software Available

It's here. The iPhone/iPod touch 2.0.1 software is now available as of 8/4/08. Changes since 2.0 are that there are unknown bug fixes, the update is 24MB bigger than previous 2.0 version, and that flipping through the home screen pages is faster and smoother. Also included in the update is that syncing and backing up iPod/iPhone is way way faster. It has been confirmed that 2.0.1 doesn't work with Pwnage tool just yet and, as far as anyone knows, any pwning/jailbreaking program. For more info, go to one of these links:

yeah it fixes the stability and lag everywhere. seeing how the new touch will have 2.0.1 firmware they cant be far away! i heard it was early september.

yeah but when the new touch comes out they will also have 2.0.1. so theres no updates in between. meaning the new touch will come very soon.

What i'm hoping for/expecting in the next iPod touch:

1. More colors.
2. More space.
3. Lowering of price.

If they do this I'm sure they'd sell more touches than any of their other iPods.
