HDD icon went MIA HELP!!

well my mac HDD icon doesn't show up on the desktop or in the devices.
the only one that does is the windows partio wy is it not show p when it is useing it to run.

but i am booted up on the mac partiton.

i am a noob at mac's the last mac i had was 0s 9 and 8.
i now have leopard. MacBook Pro

Go into Finder Preferences and you will find what you are looking for.

that didnt work. but i brought it in and found out i am not a mac noob but a smart mac user and the HDD was going so they swaped it out and it works perfect.

Well I just found out that apple fixed a bug that fixes your problem in 10.5.3

ya the new update fixed a lot but know my screen is broken. it flew off my desk the power cord didnt break off.the power cord was under the laptop pluged in it stuck to it and flung it my heart stopped and the protection plan deos't repair it it cost 500 at the least at apple.or 255 my self voiding the 200 buck plan it just bought.unless i can get it opened with out showing sings.

800 bucks to fix the screen i bought it for close to 3,000 bucks so some were around 3,000 minus 800 is um dont feel like dong the math either way i have to add 800 bucks to get e new one or fix it
