Occasional logging out

Is anyone else experience this?

I will be browsing the forums, posting in threads, just doing the usual forum thing and then out of the blue when I go to click on another thread or page it will make me log in again.

Is there some sort of timer that automatically logs everyone out after a certain amount of time or am I just having some strange issue?

this happens when you don't check "remember me" i don't know why
