Yesterday, I was removed from my administrator powers on iPodHacking.

Here’s the email I received from xxDriveNxx



Well to speak in my own defense:

1- I started the site and organized most of the forums. I worked really hard and put lots of time into it. I moved almost every thread to their correct forum and deleted most of the spam threads/posts. I was on each and every day and always posted. All of this to get my administrator powers removed.

2- If I needed the staff’s permission to do things every time, I would need to at least make a few hundred threads. I did what I believed was right. Also, every time I wanted the staff’s opinion and made a thread, it would either be ignored or someone would respond a couple of days later.

3- I added one staff member without permission. xxDriveNxx did the same thing with H3X. The only reason he’s still there and Xavier isn’t is because, H3X was made a super moderator before id10t came along.

4- I never spammed any forums. Alright so maybe a little EverythingiPod, but I never did advertise iPodHacking. I simply gave my opinion on their site and even iPodHacker agreed partially with me. So I leave you with this… How does this make us look unprofessional?

5- Correct me if I’m wrong, but I feel like you guys made SuperNatural administrator to replace me. I find it odd that I was the only one who truly believed he didn’t deserve to be an administrator. He never did as much as work on the forums as I have (he barely does anything in my opinion).

6- I’m not the only one to have done mistakes. Remember the big scene xxDriveNxx caused with the hybrid hack by letting DJ getting access to the thread. No one ever complained about that, but then everyone has to be against me.

7- Ah yes the labaom scene. Why didn’t SuperNatural get anything for banning him the first time? I ban him once and get my status removed… The only reason I banned him is because he didn’t show any respect on our forums, flammed and spammed a lot and he banned me from his forum for expressing my opinion about his site. Doesn’t it seem fair to temporarily ban him from my own site?

8- iPodHacking wouldn’t be much if it wasn’t for me. Think about it… I though xxDriveNxx most of what he knows about hacking iPods. Also, every hack is based on my Ultimate Background Hack (even the Multiple Background Hack). If it wasn’t for the Ultimate Background Hack, no hacks like Touch to Video and Classic to Video hack would be released

I believe the iPodHacking staff team has made their worst decision yet. I’m not going to attack or spam iPH because it will lead to nothing, but for the rest of my life I won’t ever respect those people again. I’m also not going to make another iPod hacking site (I will still post on my blog though).

I’ll let you know now, the forums won’t be as good as they were with me.

i am one dev who will stick by matt but he needs a break from being a admin the powers got to him one week of no powers should help him think for a while

Matthew98 I did flam the forums. I was already punished for that. However driven felt that a month wasnt fair. SO he shortened it. I learned my lesson and I am done with that. However, if I was already banned for it why be banned again? Also, as you can see my posts I made between the ending of my second to last ban and the start of the ban you gave me I did nothing. So, there is no real reason to ban me. All I did was work on zunepod and state technical problems in the iZune theme. That was it and xxDriveNxx/iDiot supports me. I hate to see people demoted but I agree.

1. Not something we complained about, other than the moving of threads/posts which didn't need to be moved in the first place. Not a big deal.
2. Not true. We listened to you. Obviously not everything needed permission, but many things that you did should have.
3. H3X was not added by just me. DANimal and I both agreed on it at the same time.
4. It made us look unprofessional because you were staff here, and everyone knows it. Even if you don't advertise, it still has a negative effect on our reputation.
5. That isn't the way it was supposed to go at all. He was brought on for the extra help. We never lied to you about it. This just happened after he was made Administrator.
6. He bought a subscription. Yes, I did say that we shouldn't remove it right away, and I was wrong. I never said that I was perfect, did I?
7. The fact here is that he didn't know what was going on between the forums as much as you do. Tyler and I gave him a thorough verbal chew out afterwards, and things should have been settled. We do not mean to give him special treatment. You do realize that our decision here was influenced by much more than just the last straw.
8. True, but that doesn't make you any better of a staff member. Irrelevant.

I thank you for the most part being mature about it, as smug and useless as it may sound coming from my current position.
I want to talk to you on MSN about this, still and work something out.

We'd given warnings... It's not like this should have really been a surprise. Something just needed to be done.

I didn't ban you for a month anyways, only for a week.

I banned you because you insulted SuperNatural, flammed, spammed and because you banned me for no reason on your forum. I was not controlling your actions and didn't force you to do anything.

I don't care if xxDriveNxx and id10t support you, it still doesn't mean they're right. They don't even know the full story...

Matt... supernatural is mean but I mean not as mean as you. I will unban supernatural today to show how much better he is than you. YOU ADMITTED FOR SPAMMING MY SITE! That is a reason to be banned. Willkill was just defending me he went over board but meant well. I did NOTHING in the time interval. YOU CANNOT ban me for something that is ages old and I already admitted sorry for. You should ban me from when I was unban to the time you ban me. However, I did nothing wrong.

labaom- Don't see this as a sort of victory for you, it's far from it. Your issues were only a small part of this decision.

And the link you posted is full of bias and things that are incorrect.
Please no one count that as a source of truth.
