Hi,

I'm not as computer literate as I appear. I want to give my ipod (I don't even know how to tell if it's 5g or 5.5g - bought it in the summer of 2006) the iPod Touch interface from Design Driven. I downloaded everything from there, but I think it's for PC users because when I open the bin file I get another file that says Touchhack.2.0bin.cgz.

I own a mac and use osx 10.5.

Can you steer me in the right direction for hacking my ipod?

Ooh, you're using a Mac, THATS EASY!

Go there, and look at the mac instructions, except replace the firmware with the Touch mod one.

How do I install modules when I installed iPod Linux using the iPod Linux Manager. I think I need to mount my ext3 thing of my iPod on a Linux computer but HOW?

Just run the ipl installer it can load modules no matter how you installed linux.

welll i put the ultimate backgroundhack on my ipod then changed it some with ipod wizard but when i was done i look at my ipod and all my music is gone:confused:do you know wat happenedand if you dodo you know how to fix it pleasehelp

HEY!!! i just downloaded all the software needed to install the new iPod touch firmware into the iPod classic. i have sucessfully got to the point where i just have to click 'Write To iPod" but when i do it says that it cannot sense or reach my iPod and to close all applications that may be using my iPod. Yes i have i tunes closed infact the only window open is the iPod wizard but it still gives the same message that it cannot reach my iPod. can you help me out here???
