iPod touch restarts when I open apps

I just recently got the 2.0 upgrade directly from Apple and I paid $10.00 for it (because im an idiot and didnt see that you could download it for free on this site.) I got the upgrade for my *sigh* non-jailbroken iPod, and i go to the apps store and download all the free apps that I thought sound interesting. Whenever I open an app, it may work fine, or it may reset my iPod. This happens (I'm guesstimating) about once every 10-15 apps I open. someone please help me with this...

yeah 2.0 firmware is very unstable. 2.1 (along with a new touch) should be coming out in the next few week and should fix stability problems.
