Question Broken iPod Nano?

Edit: sorry for posting in the wrong section... i saw it a sec ago.. can a moderator move this post?

Hi all,

i've got kind of a problem..
i'm quite new in the ipod hacking scene so i've searched for some tutorials.. (i've got a iPod nano 1G)
after reading some of them i've downloaden the tool iPod Wizard and started to look around...
i've changed some of the images, all kind easy stuff..
then i found a tutorial containing info how to change the background picture..
i liked that so i started..
Click here to read the tutorial i've used(and yes, i've used Matthew98's methode)
what i did before using this tut, i've used iTunes to restore the original Apple firmware.
then i've loaded up this new firmware of Matthew into iPod Wizard like the tut says..
i didn't change anything to it, cause a new background picture allready was included..
so i clicked write!, and it said writing complete..
after the writing i've safely removed the iPod from my computer and it rebooted..
but now the problem: when the iPod boots, i see the apple logo, the backlight goes on, and than the iPod shuts down and i see the logo again..
i couldn't reset the iPod on any way i could think of...

maybe anyone knows a way so i can restore my old firmware again.. ore should i send it to Apple for a repair?

thanks!

When you see the apple logo, then press and hold select and play buttons yo force iPod into disk mode. Then your computer will recognize it and you'll be able to write a new firmware to your iPod using iPodWizard. There is no need to restore your iPod with iTunes. Try the same firmware again, if it still reboots constantly, then try some other firmwares, like V-Hack's or Classified's.

Another name for your problem is a boot loop Pretty common when you mod the iPod's firmware

ok, just tried this way, i see it saying Disk Mode and also Ok to disconnect... but i see that screen for only 1 sec, then the boot loop starts again... also holding the buttons doesn't help???

update: I tried the same methode while charging the iPod with a usb-charger of Apple... when it's used this way, the Disk Mode stays active untill i remove the usb-cable form the ipod.. but still, when i connect the cable to my computer the boot loop stays...

Eumm...Weird... Connect it to the computer while it's boot looping and put it in disk mode... You can also put it in diagnostic mode and after in disk mode... Maybe it can change things or I don't know !

well, the first time i reconized the boot loop, i've let de battary die completely... is was 100% empty... then i've posted this first message cause i couldn't fix it by myself...
after i saw the upstanding sollution, i've connected the ipod to the wall charger (yes, into disk mode(it works on the wall charger but not on usb :S) so i could see if it was charged completely.. and it was..)
but after that, if i tried to start the ipod, nothing happened...
do you actually need a full charged battery to enter this disk mode on usb power?

one last more thing, when i connect the ipod to my pc the boot loop goes a couple of times, then is standing in the screen:
very low battery, please wait..

but after that nothing heapens...
also my battery isn't broken, cause i've run some test in another menu (at the apple logo: hold select and previous song key)
