My friend found this and installed it and says it works ok. I'm not sure if it is the real beta. Well, please do try it out, all you Windows fans and please tell if it works in the first place!

1) Copy : -> PASS_WGA <- , and paste to CProgram Files Windows Media Player

I'm pretty confident that this has been proven to be a fake. No more than WMP 11 with an ugly GUI someone made for it.

Isn't this considered warez? Shouldn't the link be removed? and didn't they released 11 shortly after 10?

I doubt this will work for XP knowing Microsoft's reputation.

I doubt it's real, WMP 11 hasn't even been out for that long and I don't think they would choose XP over Vista at this point.
