phpBB3 installation help

OK i am trying to setup a forum on my site with phpBB3 and all goes well until the configuration file. it tells me it couldn't write so i follow All instructions EXPLICITLY and it still doesn't work. if anyone knows and can help me out please let me know.

go in to your cpanel open the config.php file and check all the boxes so it says 777

well you make mysql databases, blah blah, then do the config file

yeah i did ALL of those things and you werent on exel and i am a VERY impatient person

yeah i tried tooo...i managed to help him till creating the database and until the config file ......... after that i could not
