The Real Sidebar!

Ok, so this is how to do it.
This is not the same as Thoosje or other third party Sidebar.

Installation Instruction:
Step 1
Run the batch file called "step1.cmd"
During this step you will be asked for a valid Vista RC2 key
( yfkbb-pqjjv-g996g-vwgxy-2v3x8 ) provided by bomberuk ;-)

Step 2
Restart The Computer To Allow The Library To Register.
(I did not restart mine but there's no harm to restart)

Step 3
Run the batch file called "step2.cmd"

Step 4
Go To {'Program Files\Windows Sidebar'}
Right click 'sbdrop.dll' and 'Patch Vista Library'
Right click 'wlsrvc.dll' and 'Patch Vista Library'

Step 5
Run the batch file called "step5.cmd"
After installation of the sidebar go to Program Files\Windows Sidebar\
And then choose either sidebar_clear.exe or sidebar.exe to run the sidebar, once running right click in an empty area and go
to properties and put a tick in Start Sidebar when Windows Starts.
Or Right click the icon of Windows Sidebar and open Properties then tick in Start Sidebar when Windows Starts.

Step 6
To use the Gadget.
Download your favorite sidebar gadget from Microass website (u know what i mean) and extract it (using winzip or winrar) to the folder inside the C

Program files\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\*the name of the gadget with an extension .gadget* [example: extract the content of weather gadget to C

Program Files\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\Weather.Gadget]

Make a tutorial.

I probably won't use it, but most people are dying to have this.

I bet it's a just a simple matter of hacking the exe or dll file to make it run on XP.

woow... cool... i have vista... but i'll try to put it in my brother's xp... maybe also my mother's vista basic... will the steps be different?

Vista basic dosent have sidebar?
I knew it didnt have aero.
I thought it did have at least the sidebar tho.
